Government has plan for police corps reform: The Headlines – L-Orizzont

L-Orizzont quotes Prime Minister Robert Abela who said that the government has a vision for the police reform, including the method to appoint the Commissioner. He warned, however, that the government will not be ‘dictated to’ about the changes.

Another report covers a meeting between the General Workers Union and MEP Alex Agius Saliba. GWU secretary general Josef Bugeja said that the right to disconnect protects the wellbeing and mental health of workers.

The paper announces that parliament returns in session today, with a new Prime Minister and Cabinet. The House rose for Christmas recess on the 4th December after approving the Budget measures for 2020.
