ANSA / TGCOM: A Tunisian gas-company ship that rescued 40 migrants has been blocked off the Tunisian coast for several days, Infomigrants said Wednesday.

It said Tunisia, Italy and Malta have refused it permission to dock and offload the people on board. The migrants were boarded from Libya last week.

The Tunisian Forum for Economic and Social Rights (FTDES) confirmed that the ship is still off the Tunisian coast Wednesday morning.

Meanwhile, there was another tragedy in the past hour. 16 migrants have died and 30 are missing after the sinking of a boat off Cyprus.
