24-hour strike in Belgium

The National Railway Company of Belgium (NMBS/SNCB) has announced that only a third of all scheduled trains will run during a national 24-hour strike being held by several unions, starting at 10pm on 18 December.

The unions are demanding a pay rise of 1.1 percent along with other improvements to working conditions.
