3.5 earthquake registered in Mount Etna region

A magnitude ML 3.5 earthquake occurred on Mount Etna, 7 km north from Ragalna (Catania), at 05:10:36 at a depth of 0 km.

The event was located by the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (Catania), and was also recorded by the population of Giarre, Patti, Biancavilla, Catania, Gravina di Catania, Valguarnera Caropepe, Carlentini, Ragalna, Acireale, Pedara.

During the night there were several shocks recorded in the same area: seven over the past seven hours, with a magnitude between 2.3 and 3.0.
