The Malta Independent leads with the Prime Minister’s announcement on Monday of a new project to build 500 social housing units. These will be added to the previously announced social accommodation project, spread across 22 towns.

The Times reports that two-fifths of people in Malta aged 11 and over suffer from loneliness. The results are from the first national study on solitude conducted by the Faculty of Social Wellbeing.

The Augustinian sisters in Gżira opened a new centre for former students from their schools in Birkirkara and Gżira. The idea came from the teens themselves who wanted to keep in touch with one another and the Augustinian community after their school years.
