5-Star Movement (M5s) will not support government’s plan for ‘fiscal peace’ with small taxpayers if this becomes a major amnesty for tax evaders

Deputy Premier and Labour and Industry Minister Luigi Di Maio said Monday that if the government’s plan for ‘fiscal peace’ with small taxpayers involved in disputes with the authorities is transformed into a major amnesty for tax evaders if will not have the support of his 5-Star Movement (M5s).

“The M5S is not willing to vote for any amnesties,” Di Maio said on the fringes of an international footwear show. “So if we are talking about fiscal peace, we agree.

“If, on the other hand, we are talking about amnesties, we are absolutely not in agreement”.
