4.8 earthquake felt in North Italy

A strong earthquake shook North Italy at 00:04 (local time). The tremor, according to official INGV data, was of magnitude 4.8 with epicenter in the Adriatic Sea, just off the coast of Ravenna (precisely in the waters just east of Lido di Dante and Mirabilandia area). The shock occurred at a depth of 10km and was felt throughout northern Italy and much of the Center.

The earth trembled in a particularly significant way in Veneto, Emilia Romagna, Lombardy and Friuli Venezia Giulia, frightening the population. The shock was felt by Milan in Trieste, from Bologna to Venice up to Padua, Verona, Belluno, Slovenia, Croatia and Marche.

The largest number of reports and calls to the Fire Brigade is coming from Ravenna, Ferrara, Forlì, Cesena, Faenza, Rimini and Imola.
