A two-year-old girl died on Thursday after being shot in the face by a bullet near Namur, Belgium.
The incident happened during a police chase on the highway to a van carrying 26 Kurdish migrants. The race lasted about an hour, then the shots.
The police spokesman explained that there is no certainty that he was fired by one of the agents.
The dynamics of the event are still to be clarified. What is known is that a two-year-old girl , who was traveling aboard the van, died after being hit in the face by a bullet. “The autopsy has determined that the cause of death was a bullet that hit her on the cheek,” said Frederic Bariseau, the first deputy prosecutor. The police say they can not yet determine with confidence if the blow he started from the weapon of one of the agents.
