Man arrested on suspicion of egg ‘assault’ on Corbyn

Sky News and the Independent report that A man has been arrested on suspicion of assault after an egg was thrown at Jeremy Corbyn in north London.

The Labour leader was allegedly targeted while visiting Muslim Welfare House in Finsbury Park on Saturday afternoon.

The Guardian reports a party source saying that Corbyn was not hurt in the incident and would be continuing with his plans for the day.

Sky News reported that the arrested man was believed to be a pro-Brexit campaigner.
