Malta: MIA calls for Covid-19 airport documentation to be verified digitally to avoid airport chaos


One week after travel and tourism officially opened in Malta, Malta International Airport is appealing to the Government and the health authorities to put in place a digital system through which they can analyze the required documents of passengers arriving in Malta.

In recent days it has been reported that hundreds of people spent a long time waiting at the airport until their documents were analysed by airport officials upon their arrival in Malta.
