Power Rangers Ninja Storm star Pua Magasiva, 38, who portrayed the Red Wind Ranger Shane Clarke in the American television series and the eleventh season of the Power Rangers franchise, , has been found dead in Wellington at the age of 38.
No cause has been given as to the cause behind his passing, and a spokewoman for South Pacific Pictures confirmed Magasiva’s death. A police spokeswoman did confirm to the Herald there were no suspicious circumstances.
Magasiva, was one of the only Samoan actors in the entire Power Rangers franchise, and to this day remains the only one to have donned the Red Ranger suit. Magasiva lead the Power Rangers Ninja Storm team in 2003.
He was a Samoan-born New Zealand actor, best known for his roles as Shane Clarke , the Red Ranger from Power Rangers Ninja Storm, and Nurse Vinnie Kruse in New Zealand soap Shortland Street. He was also one of the co-hosts of New Zealand radio station Flava.
Magasiva has a young daughter from his first marriage and a daughter from a previous relationship.
