Public transport in Rome to strike on 20 June

The USB trade union announced tht workers at Rome’s public transport company ATAC are scheduled to engage in a 24-hour strike, effective from 08.30 to 17.00 and from 20.00 until end of service, on Thursday 20 June.

USB said that the strike has been called over frequent attacks on ATAC staff and the alleged presence of “lethal” fine dust in the air in the tunnels and stations on Rome’s underground network.

The strike affects Rome’s buses, trams, metro and light rail services Roma-Lido, Termini-Centocelle and Roma-Civitacastellana-Viterbo.
