A 69-year-old woman from Sliema suffered grievous injuries following a traffic accident in St. Paul’s Street, Sliema.
Yesterday, at about 1730hrs, the District Police were informed that their assistance was required in the mentioned street because a woman was hit by a vehicle. The District Police went immediately on site and from preliminary investigations, they found that the woman was hit by a Toyota Vitz which was being driven by a 51-year-old man from Libya residing in Sliema.
An ambulance was called on site to assist the victim.
Police investigations are still ongoing.
