Francesco Saverio Borrelli former head of the Mani Pulite Pool of Magistrates, died in Milan.
At the time of Mani Pulite, Borrelli was prosecutor and former prosecutor general of Milan.
Borrelli died in the hospital at 89 years.
Mattarella expressed his condolences for the death of Borrelli, a “magistrate of the highest value, committed to the affirmation of supremacy and respect for the law, which served the Republic faithfully”.
