The Times reports that women make three-fourths of applicants for social accommodation. A profiling exercise conducted by the Housing Authority found that there were some 1.700 single mothers on the social housing waiting list in 2018.

The Times says that a call for applications for State Attorney will be issued within a few weeks, with the final appointment decided by the Prime Minister. The new office will take up legal counsel functions currently performed by the Attorney General.
