Greece’s Tsipras resigns as Syriza party leader

ATHENS, June 29 (Reuters) – Greece’s Alexis Tsipras resigned on Thursday as leader of the leftist Syriza party following a heavy defeat in a national election on Sunday, a source told Reuters.

Tsipras was expected to deliver an address later on Thursday.
