Tens of migrants this morning were cleared out of a block of apartments by the police in Triq il-Halel Bugibba.
Police officers from the immigration section as well as members of the Rapid Intervention Unit raided the block at 6am.
It is understood that five migrants were found in each room, and each were paying €200 every month, TVM reports.
The number of persons found in the block was much larger than initially thought, so much so that the Police had to call up another bus.
The final tally of persons brought out has yet to be confirmed, but it is believed to be in excess of 80.
