Spanish Air Force’s fighter jet crashes into Mediterranean

A CASA C-101 training plane of the Spanish Air Force on Monday crashed into the Mediterranean Sea, off La Manga coast, Murcia, south-eastern Spain.

The pilot managed to eject from the plane before the impact and has been recovered from the sea.

According to the first unconfirmed reports, the aircraft belonged to the Patrulla Águila (Spanish for “Eagle Patrol”), the Spanish Air Force’s display team
