Investigators seek reasoning behind Trump shooter motivation

More than 48 hours after former US President Donald Trump was the target of an assassination attempt during a political rally, the FBI is yet to find an ideology tied to the suspect, any signs of mental illness, or any threatening language on the suspect’s social media sites.

The FBI identified Thomas Matthew Crooks of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, as the shooter and claimed the incident was being investigated as an attempted assassination.

FBI authorities stated on Sunday that the shooter acted alone.

Crooks was a registered Republican, according to state voter records, and gave $15 to a Democratic political action committee when he was seventeen. He was working as a dietary assistant at a nursing facility when the incident occurred. The Bethel Park Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Centre stated that Crooks “did his work without worry, and his background check.
