LeBron James sets new NBA record in Lakers win

LeBron James set a new record for the most minutes played in NBA history, helping the Los Angeles Lakers secure a 113-100 win over the Sacramento Kings.

The 39-year-old surpassed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s record when he logged his 57,447th minute on court during the game on Friday. Earlier this year, James also surpassed Abdul-Jabbar for the NBA’s all-time scoring record. In the victory, James scored 19 points, while teammate Austin Reaves led with 25 points.

“It’s all about my commitment to the craft, and the passion and love I have for the game,” James said. “I don’t take much time off-season, though I take a little more time now.”
