Jason Micallef says both Labour and Caruana Galizia family should apologise
Malta will never achieve closure on the Daphne Caruana Galizia case unless all sides, including her family and the Labour Party, apologise, Jason Micallef said during a Times Talk debate with lawyer Jason Azzopardi. Micallef, a long-time Labour stalwart and now the party’s special delegate for the electoral manifesto, reiterated his previous calls for an apology, saying, “If we want reconciliation, we must all say sorry.” He acknowledged that the Labour Party should also take responsibility but argued that Caruana Galizia’s family must do the same, given her history of strong personal criticism. Former MP Jason Azzopardi stressed that true closure can only come when justice is served, and legal proceedings must be concluded before reconciliation is possible. (Times of Malta)
