The population in Malta increased by more than 18 percent since the last census in 2011– The Headlines: The Independent

The Independent publishes a study indicating that the population in Malta increased by more than 18 percent since the last census in 2011. There are some 70,000 more people living in Malta and just over 2,000 more in Gozo.

The Independent speaks to a transgender woman after completing her teaching practice in a church school. Amanda Cossai said that the experience was ‘amazing’ and that she did not encounter any of the difficulties she first feared either from students or the staff.
