Israel intensifies attacks on Gaza City

At least 20 Palestinians have been killed since on Sunday as Israeli forces intensified their bombardment of Gaza, a day after 77 people lost their lives, including 11 waiting in line for food aid.

Residents of northern Gaza City and nearby areas continue to flee as Israel presses ahead with a military plan to seize the city and forcibly displace around one million people.

Meanwhile, Yemen’s Houthis vowed “vengeance” against Israel after confirming that Prime Minister Ahmed al-Rahawai and several cabinet members were killed in an Israeli air raid on Sanaa on Thursday.

Since the start of the war, Israel has killed at least 63,371 Palestinians and wounded 159,835. In contrast, 1,139 people were killed in Israel during the 7 October attacks, with around 200 taken captive.
