Russian serviceman shot dead eight fellow soldiers and injures two more on base in Siberia, officials say.
The Russia news agency Interfax said that the soldier, a conscript, was detained.
The conscript turned his gun on his fellow soldiers after having a nervous breakdown, the ministry was quoted as saying.
