Minister satisfied with refusal of Pietà hotel plans: The Headlines – L-Orizzont

L-Orizzont says that Culture Minister Jose Herrera welcomed the unanimous decision by the Planning Authority board to refuse a development application proposing a hotel in Pietà, safeguarding the historic Giardino Zammitello.

The paper also says that the money stolen from Bank of Valletta in a cyber-attack last year was funnelled into separate accounts and laundered with the purchase of luxury goods including watches and cars. Two men aged 17 and 23 were arrested in London and another aged 39 in Belfast.
