‘A hit by a truck is better than rape’ – The Headlines: L-Orizzont

L-Orizzont carries a story of a young woman assaulted by a man whose advances at a Paceville club she had earlier declined. Attacked in St Andrew’s, the woman crawled to the middle of the road to protect herself, preferring ‘to get hit by a truck to being raped’.

L-Orizzont also reports on the case of a woman charged with theft from fuel stations who refuses to witness against her partner, with whom she has a one-year-old. Charlotte Zammit is Liam Debono’s mother, accused of a hit-and-run on a police officer earlier this year.
