The Malta Independent reports on a joint operation by Planning Authority officials and the police to clear stables in Marsa that were being used by some 80 migrants as accommodation. The paper says that the officers had to cut through chains and padlocks to enter the site.
The Malta Independent says that the Airline Pilots Association is willing to resume talks with Air Malta and the government after the industrial actions ordered last month. Representatives of the association said they have not been approached by the airline or the ministry yet.
