Government of Malta Statement: In view of the escalation of conflict in Tripoli, Libya, the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and Trade Promotion would like to notify that from official information gathered to date all Maltese nationals currently in Libya are safe.
The Ministry for Foreign Affairs and Trade Promotion is in touch with all known Maltese nationals in Libya and is closely monitoring the situation.

Earlier today The Times of Malta reported that Maltese in Tripoli have requested for evacuation. TVM reported contrary to these reports they have not requested to be evacuated.
