Allegations of electoral fraud and malpractice in relation to the UK 2019 General Election

U.K. police said Saturday they are assessing two allegations of electoral fraud, following accusations the Conservative party offered key Brexit Party members seats in the House of Lords if they do not stand in December’s general election, according to Politico.

London’s Metropolitan Police told the BBC it is looking into “two allegations of electoral fraud and malpractice in relation to the 2019 General Election.”

According to British Media, the police are probing claims of electoral fraud after allegations were made Tories offered peerages to senior Brexit Party members to get them to stand down.

Scotland Yard today confirmed it is looking into the allegations after Lord Falconer wrote to the force calling for an investigation into the General Election battle.
