Art project in Istanbul aims to raise awareness on domestic violence

Some 440 female shoes were placed on two walls of a building to symbolize women who killed by men in 2018 in Turkey.

According to ‘We Will Stop Femicide’, a women’s rights platform, 245 women have been killed in Turkey in the first seven months of 2019.
