Attorney General Barr threatens not testifying on Mueller report

The New York Times reports that the Attorney General William P. Barr, who is scheduled to appear Thursday before the House Judiciary Committee to testify about the special counsel’s report, is threatening to skip the session because he objects to the proposed format for questioning, a spokesman for Representative Jerrold Nadler, the committee chairman, said Sunday.

The Guardian reports that the Justice officials also told the committee they opposed committee chairmen Jerry Nadler’s plan to go into closed session if members want to discuss redacted portions of Mueller’s report.

That’s also according to the aide, who requested anonymity to discuss the confidential communications with the justice department.
