Biden is sending aid to help Ukraine keep fighting next year, Blinken says

In its final months, the Biden administration is focused on maximising aid to Ukraine to help sustain its defence against Russia’s invasion into next year, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said Wednesday. He emphasised President Biden’s commitment to using all available resources before President-elect Donald Trump takes office on Jan. 20.

During a visit to Brussels, Blinken urged NATO allies to ensure Ukraine has the necessary funds, weapons, and forces to either continue fighting effectively in 2025 or negotiate peace from a position of strength. The U.S. will adjust its support with the latest equipment, though specific details were not provided.

Meanwhile, Russia launched its first missile and drone attack on Kyiv in over two months, coinciding with reports of North Korean troops aiding Russia in the Kursk region.
