Bohemian Rhapsody wins Golden Globe Award, Rami Malek best Actor

On a night full of shocks, Bohemian Rhapsody, starring Rami Malek as Freddie Mercury, was the surprise winner of best film – and, in a further unexpected triumph, Malek won the award for best actor.

With the surviving band members in the audience, he said: “To Queen. To you, Brian May, Roger Taylor, for ensuring that authenticity and inclusivity exists in music and in all of us.

Olivia Colman, Ben Whishaw, Richard Madden and Christian Bale have all brought home Golden Globes in an excellent night for British talent.
