A 5.0-magnitude tremor struck 31 kilometers southwest of the city of Trikala in central Greece on Friday morning, according to a preliminary reading of the Athens Institute of Geodynamics.
The European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre gave a reading of 5.1 for the same tremor.
The earthquake hit shortly after 10 a.m. at a depth of 1.8 kilometers.
There were no immediate reports of injuries but state-run news agency ANA-MPA said there were landslides on rural roads.
