The former model then a minor, spoke of a relationship with the player, but then in a telephone call said: “I invented everything.” And today in a text message to the lawyer she said: “I’m upset, my name exploited”.

Il Corriere Della Sera reports: “It is 9:50 am on July 22nd 2010. Karima El Mahrough is still 17 years old (she was born in November 1992) and she is sitting in front of the then deputy prosecutor of Milan Pietro Forno and a police inspector in Genoa.

It was the third interrogation to which she was questioned as a witness in the investigation that in a few months would explode with the involvement of the then prime minister Silvio Berlusconi, who will then be prosecuted and completely acquitted from the accusation of having had sexual relations when the girl when she was still a minor.

Ruby fills pages and pages of records in which he mixes real facts, then verified by the investigators, to complete inventions and circumstances, which eventually were not proved.

At 13.40 Ruby starts talking about  Cristiano Ronaldo with the prosecution.

“I never prostituted myself, nor did I ever accept paid sexual relations; I had sex with guys I liked. The only time I have been paid for a sexual relationship is in the circumstance in which I had a sexual relationship with the footballer Cristiano Ronaldo that I met on January 29th, 2009 “.

She said that she met CR7 in a nightclub in Milan, Hollywood, where she knew he would be there. She wanted to see him out of curiosity. “While I was passing by Ronaldo,” she adds, “he complimented me and we exchanged the telephone number.”

Here she contradicts herself: first saying that she had gone to the club to see the player who was “famous”, then she added that she did not know who he was. So she says he saw him a few days later for a dinner together in a restaurant.

Ruby added “the next morning, the footballer left without waking her, leaving her a note on the bedside table with which she said: “I hope when I come back, I will not find you in my room.” On the bedside table there were 4,000 euros in cash.

She said she started crying and when she met Ronaldo again at another nightclub, she would have knocked over a glass of champagne on his head and throwing the 500-euro bills he had left her before the bouncers took her away. Her story continues that the two would meet again, in the center of Milan where he apologized for his behaviour by telling her that he thought I was a girl like any other and that I was only looking for money from him.

Eventually it transpired that there was never evidence of any of the fabrications of the model. For the investigators, it was pure fantasy. She eventually confirmed saying that she had invented everything.

Silvio Berlusconi, had repeatedly asked that Ronaldo be questioned in court to demonstrate the unreliability of the young Moroccan.

Ruby said that she was upset as her name was being exploited for other purposes.  She said this in a text message sent Tuesday morning to his lawyer Paola Boccardi.
