Chad shuts down border with Libya

The authorities in Chad have closed the borders with Libya, Sudan, and the Central African Republic for security reasons.

The Libya Observer reports that Chad’s Minister of Defence, Mahamat Salah has confirmed closing his country’s borders

Chad has excluded the trade corridors with the three countries from the decision; among them was the Kouri and Moudi outlet with Libya.

In February, Libya signed the implementing regulations of the Joint Operations Centre for securing the common border with Sudan, Chad, and Niger.
