CoE’s Human Rights Commissioner writes to Prime Minister to drop pending libel suits against the Caruana Galizia family – The Headlines: The Times

The Times reveals that the Council of Europe’s Human Rights Commissioner, Dunja Mijatovic, has written to Prime Minister Muscat to drop pending libel suits against the Caruana Galizia family. In his reply, Muscat said government cannot interfere with civil action.

The Times quotes a former girlfriend of one of the two men accused with the murder of Lassane Cisse in Ħal Far who witnessed in court that he had a fear that migrants would take over Malta. She told the court that he used to confront migrants in the street directly.
