The Independent publishes a study indicating that the population in Malta increased by more than 18 percent since the last census in 2011. There are some 70,000 more people living in Malta and just over 2,000 more in Gozo.

In-Nazzjon says that Labour Party councillors in San Ġwann are irked by the mayor, elected on the same party ticket. The paper said they have been cast out of decision-making and that responsibilities have not been split according to guidelines.
L-Orizzont speaks to author Trevor Zahra who agrees with the teaching of Maltese language to foreign people living in the country. Zahra said that it not only helps them integrate better but allows the Maltese to keep using the language.
