The Maltese Newspapers lead with various stories, however one story which features prominently is linked to the 2020 budget, which is to be presented in mid-October. the pre-budget document titled ‘Sustaining Inclusive Growth’. Finance Minister Edward Scicluna said the budget has 18 priority areas and will strike a balance between environmental protection and economic development.

Malta has refused a request by a rescue ship carrying 100 migrants to enter its ports or to receive water and food supplies. The government argued that the rescue took place in the Libyan search and rescue area.

The Confederation of Women’s Rights Organisations warned that infections from unprotected sex at massage parlours can be then transmitted to the clients’ partners and develop into cancer.
