The Times reveals that the Ornis committee is discussing a proposal by the hunting lobby to breed birds and release them to be hunted. The idea is fuelling concerns of an all-year hunting season.
The Malta Independent questions Transport Minister Ian Borg about the dismantling of a jogging track in Santa Luċija. Borg said that the €20 million investment in underground tunnels has a priority over the €90,000 track.
The Times quotes Finance Minister Edward Scicluna who, in reaction to the latest Moneyval report, said that more needs to be done to curb financial crime. Malta has been given until next year to improve anti-money laundering measures.
L-Orizzont follows the fight at Corradino Correctional Facility involving George Degiorgio, one of the suspects in the killing of Daphne Caruana Galizia. The paper says that the inmate who attacked Degiorgio was previously involved in a fight with another prisoner.

In-Nazzjon says that various unions and constitutional bodies spoke against the rise in the price of fuel announced this week. The paper speaks to UĦM president Josef Vella who said the union wants an explanation on the workings behind the increase.
