The Times leads with a statement by the Medical Students Association warning that including students from Barts medical school to clinical practice at Mater Dei hospital will deteriorate the quality of the already crowded rotations.
The Malta Independent speaks to Developers Association president Sandro Chetcuti about reports of “rogue” developers. Chetcuti said that the Association is concerned about the bad name some developers and real estate agents are giving to the industry.
The Times quotes head of Insurers Association Adrian Galea who said that breathalyser tests are not enough effective deterrents to motorists, the way that hefty fines from speed cameras are.
The Malta Independent says that NGOs are accusing the Planning Authority of changing policy to restrict access by the public to planning documents. The PA denies this and says that it only gives full information when it is complete.
L-Orizzont says that the current crisis in Libya raises the risk of a re-emergence by ISIS in the country. The paper says there is a lack of security in Libya as warring groups are fighting each other for control.
In-Nazzjon carries a statement by Midwives and Nurses Union president Paul Pace who said that healthcare professionals are suffering from demotivation and even depression. He called for more investment in the sector.
L-Orizzont quotes Prime Minister Joseph Muscat who said that the government created more jobs in the last six years than the 25 before. Speaking at a political event he said that the priority is now quality of life.
In-Nazzjon quotes PN Leader Adrian Delia who said that every vote for Labour Party candidates in the MEP elections is a vote for the European Socialists whose electoral manifesto wants to impose abortion.
