In an editorial entitled <<Delia’s uphill struggle>> the Sunday Times states that although the Nationalist Party Leader made some progress on all fronts, his speech on Sunday, despite being good on oratory, it lacked policy details. “It is not good enough to simply repeat that the PN is not Labour and to highlight the country’s all-too-clear problems. An Opposition Leader also needs to spell out exactly what he stand for and how would do things differently. The editorial also adds that he seems to having difficulty in reaching out to his detractors within the party and to expand his inner circle.

Il-Mument’s editorial <<Motivazzjoni b’viżjoni u prinċipji>> refers to the PN’s General Council and the vision the Party has pronounced in the speech of its Leader. The main focus of the policy and the speech, is one where there is a society which cares and which gives dignity to people.

The Malta Independent’s editorial <<There’s something in the air (Part 2)>> refers to the reply ERA provided to the newspaper following its editorial last week. The editorial asks that the question that was asked and is still being asked is where is all of Malta’s carbon dioxide coming from?

Maltatoday’s editorial refers to road safety. <<Road safety must be top priority>> focuses on Tuesday’s incident where police officer Simon Schembri was greviously injured following an attempt on his life. It also quotes the Doctors for Road Safety who said that Tuesday’s incident was “reflective of the lack of adequate control over road safety overy many years.” It adds “the daily experience of decent road users who observe road traffic regulations is that other road users who decide to break the rules, are doing so with impunity”.

<<It-Theddida biex tagħlaq ħalqek>>, refers to the front-page story the newspaper has regards Fr Mark Montebello and the ‘censorship’ and threats he recieved from the higher echelons of the church. The editorial argues that the biggest loser in this whole issue isn’t Fr Mark but the Church of Malta.

The Editorial of Il-Kulħadd, << Wegħdi mwettqa għal Malta ta’ Għada>> refers to the number of electoral promises delivered in the first 11 months of the second Labour administration led by Joseph Muscat.

Illum’s editorial <<Pjanar, indafa u każini>> refers to the need of planning and cleanliness in view of the summer season. It also refers to the situation in the band clubs and augurs that there won’t be more cases similar to the one of the De Paule Band club in Paola.
