Emergency landing for Ryanair aircraft in Treviso, Italy

A Ryanair Boeing 737 on Saturday had to make an emergency landing at the Antonio Canova Airport in Treviso, Italy, after smoke started coming out from one of the engines.

The incident happened as the aircraft was about to land.

The aircraft’s pilot requested the activation of emergency procedures at the airport prior to landing. The flight had departed from Naples with 170 passengers and landed without problems.

An inspection of the aircraft later found that the engine had an oil leak and was kept for the necessary maintenance with the airport’s activity and Ryanair’s flight schedule continuing as normal.
