EPA’s Eye In The Sky: Birkenhead, Britain

Birkenhead Park, in Birkenhead, Britain. Designed by Joseph Paxton, Birkenhead Park was the world’s first publicly funded civic park and influenced the design of New York’s Central Park.

It is one of seven sites proposed for UNESCO World Heritage status by the UK Government, alongside York city centre, the Zenith of Iron Age Shetland and the East Atlantic Flyway.
