EPA’s Eye in the Sky: Chekka, Lebanon

A picture taken with a drone shows a view of the 29-meter-high Christmas tree, made of discarded plastic water bottles in the northern coastal town of Chekka, Lebanon.

The Christmas tree with a diameter of ten meters and is made of 130 thousand plastic bottles as a project initiated by Lebanese Caroline Chaptini to raise environmental awareness and promote plastic recycling in the country.
