EPA’s Eye in the Sky: Dalyan River, Turkey

The Dalyan River as local cruise boats carry tourists to Iztuzu Beach, in Dalyan town, in Mugla, Turkey.

Dalyan town is situated near of the Dalyan River, where the delta meets Agean sea. The area is a national conservation site for three varieties of turtles, and for over 100 species of birds. The Ancient City Of Caunos (Kaunos) is also located just outside Dalyan town.
