In the old town of the Lower Rhine city Kempen, residents have painted rainbows in front of their houses with spray chalk – as a sign of hope in times of the Coronavirus crisis and in compliance with the current minimum distance of 1.50 metres.

The German government and local authorities had heightened measures to stem the spread of the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 which causes the Covid-19 disease.
