Here are the latest events in the European Parliament, European Commission and European Council:

Tuesday 8 March:  in two debates, MEPs will discuss how to handle the increasing number of refugees fleeing from the war in Ukraine and look into the EU’s role in a changing world as well as Europe’s security situation in the wake of the Russian aggression against Ukraine. 

Wednesday 9 March:
A day of roundtables, bringing together high-level political, administrative, entrepreneurial and academic European leaders, will affirm the commitment of France and the EU to finding solutions for public and private actors on low-carbon energy accessibility

Thursday 10 March: This conference will address the challenge of providing assistance to victims of major crises such as acts of terrorism, mass accidents or environmental disasters, from a European and international perspective.

Friday 11 March:  The fourth plenary of the Conference on the Future of Europe will take place in Strasbourg to discuss recommendations from two European Citizens’ Panels on: “EU in the world / migration” and “A stronger economy, social justice and jobs / Education, culture, youth and sport / Digital transformation” (Friday to Saturday).
