The nomination still requires the approval of the European Parliament.
In an Instagram story shared by von der Leyen, the nominated EU Commission’s president, yesterday announced that she meeting her transition team this week, which in her own words “comes from all over the continent.”
According to the instagram story, the team comes from Bulgaria, France, the United Kingdom, Germany, the Netherlands and … Malta.
