Euro zone banks slowed lending further in March, ECB says

Bank lending to euro zone companies and households slowed again in March as higher interest rates and an uncertain economic outlook appeared to put a dampener on credit, European Central Bank data showed on Tuesday.

Lending to businesses in the 20 nation currency bloc expanded by 5.2% year over year in March after a 5.7% rise a month earlier while household credit growth slowed to 2.9% from 3.2%.
